Abstract
Objective To analyze the reasons of pseudothrombocytopenia and find out the methods to avoid the reduc-tion with regard to the rare clinical cases of pseudothrombocytopenia induced by EDTA anticoagulant. Methods Platelet assay was performed with different anticoagulant, with different methods and at different periods for 10 patients whose platelets were lower than 50í109/L tested by hematology analyzer. Results With the time going by, the measured value of platelets of the EDTA anticoagulant significantly reduced. Conclusion In the case of thrombocytopenia, reports should be sent cautiously. Multiple methods need to be applied to exclude all possible influences, so as to provide ac-curate and reliable test results for clinical doctors, and to avoid misdiagnosis and mistreatment caused by pseudothrom-bocytopenia.关键词
