Effects of Pingxiao Mixture on the Levels of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in Lung Tissues of Allergic Asthmatic Model in Guinea Pig
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To study the effects of Pingxiao mixture on the levels of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in lung tissues of allergic asthmatic model in guinea pig.Methods:The allergic asthmatic model of guinea pig was in-duced by ovalbumin.Then the Pingxiao mixture was administered to the animals,and the levels of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in lung tissues were measured by ELISA, and the ratio of MMP-9/TIMP-1 was calculated. Results:Pingxiao mixture could decrease the levels of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in lung tissues and the ratio of MMP-9/TIMP-1 significantly.Conclusion: Pingxiao mixture could balance the levels of MMP -9 and TIMP-1 in lung tissues of allergic asthmatic model.Therefore, it provides an experimental basis for the clini-cal use of treating asthma.关键词
