Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine treating os-teoporosis caused by chemotherapy after breast cancer surgery. Methods From July 2013 to January 2014,68 patients with osteoporosis caused by chemotherapy after breast cancer surgery in our hospital were selected and evenly divided into observation group and control group in random.In observation group,integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment was applied,while in control group,conventional western medicine treatment was provided.The clini-cal effect,bone mineral density (BMD) in different position,and change of serum calcium level before and after treatment between two groups was compared respectively. Results The total effective rate in observation group was 94.1%,while in control group,the rate was 73.5% ,and there was a statistical difference between two groups (P<0.05).BMD of lumbar vertebra and neck of femur after 1 year treatment was increased respectively,serum calcium level was improved in two groups,and there was a statistical difference compared with before treatment,and there was a statistical difference be-tween two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine treating osteoporosis caused by chemotherapy after breast cancer surgery can obtain a remarkable clinical effect,and can obviously improve clinical symptoms and regulate bone metabolism of patients so as to play the role of treating both manifestation and root cause of disease.关键词
