摘要

Abstract

Material removal rate,electrode wear ratio and surface roughness were chosen as the performance characteristics.To comprehensively evaluate the performance characteristics above,ad-justable process parameters such as peak current,pulse duration,duty factor and tool jump cycle were studied in orthogonal experiments,which tested titanium alloy using commercially mature EDM equip-ment.Test process was simplified and optimized process parameter combination was achieved based on gray relation analysis,which converted multiple performances objectives into a single index(gray rela-tion grade).Based on the confirmation experiments,the parameter combination can achieve a higher material removal rate and lower electrode wear ratio simultaneously and meet the requirements of sur-face roughness.
