广西城乡居民口腔卫生现况调查
Cross-sectional survey on oral health status of rural and urban residents in Guangxi

Abstract
Objective To investigate the oral health status of rural and urban residents in Guangxi,aiming at providing the references for oral health prevention and care in Guangxi.Methods 3 600 subjects aged 18 years or older from 6 noninfectious chronic disease(NCD) surveillance project cities and counties in Guangxi were selected by multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method,and a questionnaire survey was implemented among them.Results Among the investigation subjects,the rate of tooth extraction due to dental disease was 39.73%,and this rate for population aged 18 to 34 years was 15.08%;the detection rate of gingival bleeding was 35.12%;86.58% of the subjects never had their teeth medically washed(cleaned),which accounted for 91.75% in rural areas;the rate of dental care seeking behavior was 44.29%;the rate of normal daily tooth brush was 47.57%,which grew lower significantly as age increased(P <0.05);the rates of dental care seeking behavior and normal daily tooth brush among rural residents were significantly lower than those among urban residents (32.18% vs.68.50%,32.72% vs.77.25%,respectively,P <0.05),and these rates among population of education background of primary school or poorer education were significantly lower than those among higher schooling population(P <0.05).Among 1 264 interviewed subjects with previous gingival bleeding,only 22(1.74%) had visited dentist for diagnosis and treatment.Conclusion The current oral health status in Guangxi is not optimistic,the oral health prevention and care should be strengthened with an emphasis on education among rural population,senior population,and population of education background of primary school or poorer education.关键词
