Effect of cyanidine on antioxidant and lipids metabolism in arteriosclero-sis mode mice

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of cyanidine on antioxidant capacity and lipids metabolism in arterioscle-rosis mode mice. Methods After ApoE-/-mice were given high fat diet for 8 weeks,they were intragastric administrated different dose of cyanidine (low,media and high:50,100 and 200 mg/kg respectively) for continuous 8 weeks.Serum and livers of the mice were acquired and various index of antioxidant and levels of lipids were tested. Results At media and high dose,the improved activation of SOD in serum and the decreased levels of MDA in serum and livers had signifi-cant difference compared with control group(P<0.05).The activation of SOD in livers had significant difference(P<0.05). Various index of lipids such as TC,TG and LDL-C decreased with the increase of dose.TG in media and high dose had significant difference,while TC and LDL-C in high dose had significant difference compared with control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Cyanidine has the functions of antioxidant and decreasing lipids in high fat diet-inducedarterioscle-rosis mice.关键词
