Abstract

In view of the Yangtze River in Nanjing section, the pilot plant was used to study the removal characteristics of organics by the technology of O3 BAC, and the removal effect of organic matters was investigated under the condition of different dosage of ozone and ozone contact time.The results show that when ozone dosage is 2 mg/L, and the ozone contact time is 10 min, the removal rates of CODMn , UV254 are 18.8%, 47.5%while DOC, BDOC increase by 30.3% and 128.2% in the ozonation unit; the removal rates of four indexes reach 37.7%, 88.7%, 60.7% and 37.7% in the BAC column.The removal rates of 1,2,4 trichlorobenzene, chlorinated benzene, DMP, DBP and PAHs are 46.7%, 100%, 70.5%, 52.5%and 69.2%, respectively in the O3 BAC process, higher than that of conventional treatment process and biological enhanced aerated filter process.Therefore, the O3 BAC process can not only effectively improve the removal efficiency of organic pollutants, but also can ensure the water quality security.
