摘要

Abstract

Cramming teaching method is frequently used in the traditional English phonetics teaching practice , which reduce the learners to passive knowledge receivers .Hence, their competence of critical thinking is severely restricted .With view to this, this paper, based on constructivist theory , puts forward a constructive suggestion to cultivate the learners ’ critical thinking compe-tence in the process of learning phonetics , i.e.by achieving the transformation from the traditional method to the situational one and from the “teacher-centered” to the “learner-centered”.
