Language Development and Social Identity Construction of Hui Nationality:An Exploration from the Perspective of Social Semiotics
摘要
Abstract
From the perspective of social semiotics, the mutual influence between language symbol system and social system is insepara-ble.In the present research, through a review of the variation of language and writing system used by the Hui Muslims and the corresponding change of social system, the effect on the selection and development of language, and the use of language to construct social reality-mainly the construction of social identity-is analyzed.Development of the language system and the development of the social system is a two-way process and they promote each other.Language develops its function and structure according to the social needs.And meanwhile it also re-flects the social needs.关键词
