A Probe into ZHAO Yuan-ren’ s Thoughts on Pragmatics

Abstract
ZHAO Yuan-ren’ s linguistic studies contain ample pragmatic thoughts, including the view on the symbol of lan-guage, the standpoint that language is an act, the perspective on context, and his discussion about ambiguity, all of which contrib-ute to the development of Chinese contemporary pragmatics and the spread of pragmatic thoughts and theories.关键词
