摘要

Abstract

10kV distribution networks mostly adopt the neutral non-grounded way in china.When the single phase grounding fault occurs, the fault current is flowing through the capacitance of conductors to earth, and the signal is too weak to be captured.Meanwhile, they also have lots of network branches, so the fault location is difficult to achieve. In order to find the fault point quickly, a comprehensive method which combined C-type of traveling wave and decision tree is proposed.The first step of the method is using the advantages of C-traveling wave fault location method in dis-tance measuring and the noise elimination function of Empirical Mode Decomposition( EMD) to determine the fault dis-tance;The second one is to find out the fault section by using the decision tree.By comparing with the judging results of BP and RBF neural network, it shows that the method based on decision tree can determine the single phase grounding fault point in 10kV distribution networks with branches quickly and accurately.
