Change of Fruit and Sugar Accumulation during Melon Development
摘要
Abstract
The dynamic changes of fruit and patterns of sugar accumulation were studied with three inbred lines(HN-001,HN-002 and HN-004) of melon during fruit development,and the germplasms of melon were evaluated,so as to provide the basis for improvement of melon varieties and fruit quality.The results showed that the fruit weight, transverse diameter and vertical diameter presented slow-fast-slow growth curve.The growth rate of fruit was obviously different among three inbred lines.At early stage of fruit de-velopment,glucose and fructose accumulation began to rise markedly in flesh of melon,and then remained steadily.No sucrose was detected in fruits of HN-002 at early stage of fruit development,however,sucrose accumulation increased sharply after 25 d after pollination.In comparison,sucrose accumulation from HN-001,HN-004 retained fairly constant at a very low level throughout development.HN-002 was a high-su-crose-accumulating genotype, flesh colour was green, but fruit was little, whereas HN-001 and HN-004 were low-sucrose accumulating genotype,flesh colours were white and orange-red,the shapes were better.关键词
