Abstract
Objective To effect of cognitive ability on cilostazol for the patients with vascular dementia,and to observe the influence of blood flow velocity.Method 98 patients with vascular dementia were randomly divided into a control group ( n=49) and an experimental group ( n=49) .The control group were treated with aspirin while the experimental group were treated with cilostazol.The Montreal cognitive assessment scale ( MoCA) was utilized to assess the cognitive competence of the patients.Color Doppler ultrasonography was used too detect the blood flow velocity of the middle cerebral artery ( MCA) and basilar artery (BA).Findings The MoCA and it’s sub-item scores of both groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment.The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total MoCA score of the experimental group after treatment was 25.01 +2.64, higher than that of the control group after treatment 20.76 +2.13.The difference was statistically significant ( P <0.05 ) .Language, visual spatial and executive ability, naming, attention, abstraction, memory, delayed recall and orientation of the experimental group after treatment were higher than those of the control group.The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The MCA and BA of the experimental group after treatment was higher than those of the control group.The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Cilostazol can significantly increase the cognitive ability and ameliorate the blood flow velocity of patients with vascular dementia.关键词
