Abstract
Objective:To compare the efficacy of percutaneous compression plating ( PCCP) and dynamic hip screw ( DHS) in the treatment of elderly patients with stable intertrochanteric fracture.Methods: 80 elderly patients with stable intertrochanteric fracture were randomly divided into the PCCP group and DHS group, which contained 40cases respectively .All the patients were followed up for 1 year.The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, incision length, VAS scores at 48 h after the operation, fracture healing time, inci-dence of complications and Harris scores in 1 year after the operation were compared between the two groups.Results: The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, incision length and VAS scores at 48h after the operation in the PCCP group were significantly less com -pared with the DHS group (all P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the fracture healing time, incidence of complications and Harris scores in 1 year after the operation between the two groups (all P>0.05).Conclusion:Both PCCP and DHS were excellent materials for internal fixation in the treatment of elderly patients with stable intertrochanteric fracture.However, the PCCP showed the ad-vantages of shorter operative time and minimal invasion, and consequently being worthy of further promotion in the clinic.关键词
