Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of low-fluence and large spot-size 1 064nm Q-switched Nd:YAG laser combined with HuayuQuban capsule for the treatment of melasma. Methods The ninety female patients with melasma were enrolled in study from January 2013 to May 2015 in our hospital,and randomly divided into the treatment group and control group.Forty-five patients of control group were treated once a week for 8 weeks and then two weeks a time for 4 weeks by 1 064nm Q-switched Nd:YAG laser at fluences of 1.5-2.5J/cm2 and a spot size of 6mm,the treatment group was given HuayuQuban capsule 5 tablets/time,2 times a day on the basis of control group.Each group received treatment for 12 weeks.Clinical efficacy were evaluated after 8 and 12 weeks of treatment. Results After 8 weeks of treatment,the markedly effective rate of treatment group was 66.67%and that of control group was 62.22%.There was no significant difference(P>0.05).After 12 weeks of treatment,the markedly effective rate of treatment group was 86.67%and that of control group was 68.89%.The markedly effective rate of control group in 12th week was significantly lower than that of treatment group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The low-fluenee,1arge spot-size,1 064nm Q-switched Nd:YAG laser combined with HuayuQuban capsule is a safe and effective treatment modality for melasma.关键词
