Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the short term effect of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) for the treatment of obesity and related metabolic diseases.Method: 7 obesity patients perioperative data and postoperative follow-up data of 6 months, who underwent LSG surgery in our department from February 2013 to May 2014 were selected. Mean preoperative body weight, body mass index (BMI), and exceed body weight (EBW) was 100-140 kg, 31.56-56.50 kg/m2, 27.13-81.53 kg. Result: All the operations were successfully completed laparoscopically, without conversion to open surgery, no serious postoperative complications. At 1, 2, 3, and 6 months following up after surgery, BMI significantly reduced (P<0.05). The percentage of EBW loss (EWL%) showed an rising trend.Conclusion: The effect of LSG for obesity is obvious, and obesity related metabolic diseases has improved.关键词
