Abstract
Objective To observe and explore the clinical value and safety of Onyx glue embolization in patients with cerebral arteriovenous malformation(CAVM). Methods 96 patients with CAVM in this hospital from June 2010 to January 2014 were selected, all the patients were randomized divided into two groups, 48 cases in the observation group and 48 cases in the control group, the observation group were treated with Onyx glue embolization, while the control group were treated with NBCA glue embolization. Occlusion rate ≥80%, recurrence rate, the average reduced volume, postoperative recovery time and hospital stay, as well as complications were observed in the two groups after treatment.ResultsThe ratio of occlusion rate≥80% and recurrence in observation group was 87.5%(42/48) and 0, while was 66.7%(32/48) and 12.5%(6/48) in the control group, the difference was statistically significance(P<0.05); the average reduced volume, postoperative recovery time and hospitalization time were (12.5±2.9)cm3,(25.4±4.9) h and (15.8±1.9)d in observation group, while was(9.6±2.4)cm3, (25.9±4.6)h and (16.2±1.8)d in the control group, the difference the average reduced volume between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05); complication rate was 4.2%(2/48) in the observation group, and was 10.4%(5/48) in the control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Onyx glue embolization can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of CAVM patients, with significant effect, thus is safe and effective therapy.关键词
