摘要

Abstract

With 187 Chinese English learners and 106 African Chinese learners investigated by means of strategy inventory for language learning, it was found out that meta-cognitive strategy was most frequently used by both of them.But the strategy using frequency a-mong Chinese English language learner was significantly lower than that among African Chinese learners.The frequency of language learning strategy among Chinese learners from high to low were meta-cognitive strategies, cognitive strategies, compensation strategy, memory strategy, social strategy and affective strategy.Boys'frequency in using cognitive strategy was higher than girls' , and the fre-quency was significantly higher in the older ones than that in the younger ones.
