Expression Regulation and Functions of Lipid Metabolism of SIRT1 Gene
摘要
Abstract
SIRT1, a member of the Sirtuin family, is a kind of NAD+-dependent histone deacetylase. SIRT1 in?teracts with non-histone proteins and histone such as p53, Ku70, FOXOs, PGC-1A, p300 as well as H1, H3, H4 to exert different functions. SIRT1 gene performs the regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism in the liver, fat, muscle, pancreatic and brain and other organs. SIRT1 is an important regulator of lipid homeostasis factor, and also plays a role in the oxidation of fatty acids. Expression and activity of SIRT1 will be regulated at a tran?scriptional, post-transcriptional and post-translational level respectively, and gene expression regulation and roles for lipid metabolism of sirt1 in animals will be reviewed in this paper.关键词
