Effects of Dietary Fat Level on Nutrient Digestibility, Nitrogen Metabolism and Reproductive Proformance of Female Mink ( Neovison vison)

摘要

Abstract

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary fat level on nutrient digestibility, ni-trogen ( N) metabolism and reproductive performance of female mink ( Neovison vison ) . One hundred and twenty healthy primiparous mink with the similar body weight were randomly assigned into 4 groups with 3 rep-licates per group and 10 larva mink per replicate. The mink in the 4 groups were fed diets with 45% protein and 10% ( F10 group) , 14% ( F14 group) , 18% ( F18 group) and 22% ( F22 group) fat, respectively. The ex-periment was from mating to whelping. The results showed that dietary fat level did not significantly affect the digestibility of dry matter and crude protein (P>0.05), but the digestibility of fat was improved with dietary fat level increasing, and F18 and F22 groups were significantly higher than F10 group ( P<0.05) . Daily feed intake and daily N intake were significantly affected by dietary fat level (P<0.01), and they were decreased with dietary fat level increasing. Fecal N and urinary N output, daily N retention and biological value of N were significantly affected by dietary fat level ( P<0.05) , and the lowest fecal N and urinary N output and the highest biological value of N were in F18 group. Mating rate, whelping rate and number of bron alive were not significantly different between F14 and F18 groups (P>0.05), but they were significantly better than other groups ( P<0.05) . Considering all the factors, when the dietary protein level is 45%, the suitable dietary fat level is 14% to 18% under the condition of this experiment. Furthermore, suitable fat level of diets for mink can improve protein utilization.
