摘要

Abstract

The paper puts forward a kind of image fusion method of infrared image and visible light image based on wavelet transform and edge detection, which is through study the imaging principle of infrared sensor and visible light sensors to solve the traffic image quality problems which get in bad weather or at night. First the image is decomposed by wavelet transform, and then high frequency components are edge detected, and the low frequency and high frequency parts are fused through the different image fusion rules respectively. Finally, the fused image is obtained through inverse wavelet transform.
