摘要

Abstract

Progressive collapse may be initiated by failure of the member of the composite suspension system. Using finite element software,we analysis the stress and strain distribution of the residual composite suspension structure after the damage of the single suspender or suspender group.Based on the stress and strain distribution,it is possible to determine damage of the members and confirm the scope of collapse.The simulation results show that the failure of the adjacent members or the bridge leads to the collapse of the suspension structure.The structure robustness can be improved by adding redundant at the key position.The failure not spread after the damage of the single suspender or suspender group if the new load transfer path is formed through effective diagonal member with both sides of the main beam and horizontal structure members which have good seismic performance.
