Resource Dependence,Government Transparency and Economic Growth
摘要
Abstract
Based on the panel data of 287 cities in China, the paper analyzes the relationship between resource dependence,government transparency and economic growth.Empirical results show that resource dependence is another determinant of financial transparency of local governments;government transparency is one of the determinants of economic growth;government transparency is an important transmission mechanism of the resource curse .The conclusions support the policy of industrial structure adjustment and upgrading from a new perspective.Besides,local governments should improve the transparency of resource-related revenues,in order to improve the efficiency of resource utilization and the quality of economic growth.关键词
