Abstract
R uralhollow ing is a dom inantproblem in the process ofurbanization in C hina,w hich affected the construction of new socialism countryside and the balanced developm ent of urban and rural areas. W ith the unique characteristics of ruralplanning functions,culturalinheritance,and em ploym entcreation,ruraltourism developm enthas strong vitality and great potential to alleviate the rural hollow ing problem s and to prom ote the balanced developm ent of urban and rural areas.Ruraltourism developmenthasbeenplayingsignificantrolesinattractingruralyouthlabors,makinguseofwaste land, im proving the rural style and features, and im proving farm ers’living standards. T herefore rural tourism m ay also contribute greatly to the tourism econom y agglom eration, rural land developm ent and planning, and sm all tow n construction and m anagem ent to solve the rural hollow ing problem . T o fully utilize the functions of rural tourism developm ent,strategic planning,farm ers'participation,concrete practice,system consum m ation,ecologicaland cultural protections are necessary.关键词
