南海机制的冲突管理效用及其限度
Institution of the South China Sea：The Effectiveness in Conflict Management and Its Limitation

Abstract
With continued tensions of the South China Sea disputes, the Chinese government is in urgent need of taking measures to tackle such disputes actively in the face of international pressure. Although ne-oliberal institutionalism may be an enlightening approach to handle South China Sea disputes ,it is far from being perfect. This article points out the informality of the existing institution of South China Sea which is inevitably subject to current conditions. As a result of such informality, the institution seems ineffective in preventing states from opportunistic behavior and solving sovereignty disputes, though it is effective in crisis management or regional peace-keeping to some degree. Besides, the current institution is also heavily influ-enced by the regional power structure. Therefore, not only should Chinese government support the existing institution and commit to institution-building step by step, but also should take other approaches as supple-ments.关键词
