Abstract
Objective:To explore the efficacy of local drainage in the treatment of paronychia caused by onyxis.Methods:From December 201 1 to December 2012,62 patients with paronychia caused by onyxis were treated by local drainage on onyxis.Re-sults:Patients were followed up for 6 months to 2 years.Among the 62 patients,58 patients were cured by once local drainage with 93.5% cure rate,and the other 4 patients were cured by secondary surgical treatment.There was no recurrence during the follow-up by June 2014.Conclusions:Local drainage on the onyxis for patients with paronychia caused by onyxis may achieve satisfactory efficacy.Meanwhile,adverse events as trauma and toenail deformation,which are caused by too large scope of operation or surgical methods which destroy nail bed or nail matrix,could be avoided.关键词
