Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Biyuanshu Oral Liquid Combined with Clarithromycin for Treating Chronic Sinusitis

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Biyuanshu Oral Liquid combined with clarithromycin in treating patients with chronic sinusitis. Methods Totally 84 patients with chronic sinusitis were randomly divided into the control group (clarithromycin) and the observation group(Biyuanshu Oral Liquid combined with clarithromycin),42 cases in each group. After 12-week treatment,the sinus CT scoring efficacy according to the Lund-Mackay sinus CT scoring system in the two groups were evalu-ated,the subjective efficacy and adverse reactions and the number of eosinophils in the nasal mucosa tissues in the two groups were compared. Results After treatment,the sinus CT scores of the observation group was subjectivity in(2. 8 ± 0. 6),which was significantly lower than(4. 4 ± 0. 5)of the control group;the total effective rate of the observation group was 90. 48%,which was significantly higher than 66. 67% of the control group( P ﹤ 0. 05);the total efficacy rate of subjectivity in the observation group was 92. 86%,which was significantly higher than 73. 81% in the control group( P ﹤ 0. 05);there were no obvious adverse reactions during the treatment period in the two groups;the reduction of the number of eosinophils in the nasal mucosa tissues of the observation group was (5. 1 ± 1. 7), which was significantly lower than (10. 7 ± 3. 5)of the control group( P ﹤ 0. 05). Conclusion Biyuanshu Oral Liquid combined with clarithromycin can significantly increase the clinical efficacy for patients with chronic sinusitis with higher safety,and is worth of clini-cal promotion.关键词
