Action research on teaching Chinese culture in traditional Chinese medicine university’s College English classes

Abstract
According to the College English Curriculum Requirements, College English classes should stick to re⁃forming and cultivating students’comprehensive English language capability. College English teaching in China has long focused on English culture but neglected Chinese culture, which leads to students’difficulties in using English to express their own culture. The researchers of the current study implemented action research on teaching Chinese culture in a traditional Chinese medicine university’s College English classes. Through analysis, they justi⁃fied the significance of this kind of teaching in improving students’comprehensive English language capability and cross-cultural communication ability, as well as its positive influence on students’English learning motivation.关键词
