Abstract
Objective:To research sleep quality and mental health of hospitalized elderly patients. Methods:Using the Pittsburge Sleep Quality Index ( PSQI ) and the Symptom Checklist 90 ( SCL -90 ) questionnaire to make an assessment for 150 hospitalized elderly patients aged 60 years and above.Re-sults:Hospitalized elderly patients were divided into sleep disorders group,32 cases(22.38%)and nor-mal sleep group,111 cases ( 77.62%) according to the results of PSQI survey.Comparing with the two groups,patients with sleep disorders had higher risk of somatization(χ2 =14.854,P<0.01) ,obsessive-compulsive disorder(χ2 =9.749,P<0.01),relations sensitive(χ2 =10.195,P<0.01),depression(χ2=20.553,P<0.01) anxiety(χ2 =12.625,P<0.01),hostile(χ2 =7.072,P <0.01),terror(χ2 =7.254,P<0.01),paranoia(χ2 =5.121,P<0.05),and psychotic(χ2 =5.121,P<0.05).Conclusion:The rate of sleep disorders in hospitalized elderly patients is 22 .38%, sleep disorders group's mental health is poorer.关键词
