摘要

Abstract

Adjacent vehicles will cause signal distortion in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs),which results in the transmission reliability being impacted by high mobility of nodes.Aiming at this problem,we propose a VANET medium access algorithm,it is based on setting up the virtual backoff algorithm (VBA)with learning automaton.First,the VBA by means of counter sharing allocates for every node a counter each.Then,it makes use of learning automaton to determine the optimum value of the specified node’s series number.Finally,it uses RTS/CTS mechanism to reward or punish each node to realise the medium access of VBA.The effectiveness and reliability of the proposed algorithm are verified by simulation experiment using NS-2 and MOVE.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm improves the performance of medium access,and the energy saving effect is evident as well,its implementation effect is clearly better than traditional schemes of DCF and VBA.
