Abstract
Based on DII database, this article assesses the 4G communication technology by patentometric methods. It is found that 4G communication technology shows a frogleap growth from 2009; the important domains focus on the wireless communication network, transmission, multiplexing communications, transmission and choice of digital information, and electric digital data processing. In 4G communication technology development, South Korea has surpassed Japan and the United States as the leader;in the worldwide competi-tion, China is still in the catch-up phase, its patent R&D activities are still affected by Samsung and other companies.关键词
