Abstract
Objective:To comparatively analyze the clinical efficacy of acupuncture and massage treating knee osteoarthritis. Methods:60 cases of knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into acupuncture group and massage group with each of 30 cases, respectively adopting acupuncture and massage therapy, improvement situation of knee pain, stiffness and the function of ill extremity was evaluated, with the help of WOMAC question-naire after the treatment of 4 weeks. Results:After the treatment, knee pain of two groups were both obviously relieved, stiffness and functional activ-ity were improved significantly (P<0.01);there was no statistical significance in improving effects of overall symptoms, pain relief and daily func-tional activity between two groups, confirmed by scores of WOMAC questionnaire (P>0.05), but the improvement effects of stiffness in massage group was obviously superior to that in acupuncture group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion:Acupuncture and massage therapy can both effectively improve the symptoms of knee osteoarthritis, and massage relieving stiffness of knees is obviously better than acupuncture.关键词
