On Characteristics of NewMedia and Countermeasures for College English Teaching

Abstract
New media have become closely related to our daily life ,functioning as tools for learning and entertainment as well as college English teaching .This thesis hereby identifies the definition of new media ,analyses the characteristics of new media and explains the current situation of college English teaching in China ,thus coming to the conclusion that college English teaching staff should keep pace with the time and applies new media technology to the process of giving classes .The rapid development of new media makes it a must to teach English with new media technology so as to change the current situation of college English teaching and cultivate more graduates qualified for modern society.关键词
