摘要
Abstract
Chongqing is located at the mouth where the Yangtze river and Jialing river meet,since the opening of port of Chongqing,Chongqing port porterage quietly became an emerging industry,then an indispensable industry in the modern social and economic development of Chongqing,which is influenced by political,economic and geographical conditions. The industry made significant development in Chongqing during the period of the republic of China. With the development of the porterage in-dustry,there appears the dockers,which is a new social group and plays an important role in the city's development. Starting from the point of the coolie,the passage tries to reveal the workers' life in the period of the republic of China was revealed. The underlying group in Chongqing city was outlined.关键词
