Modeling and Controller Design of Three-Level H-Bridge DC/DC Converter Under Continuous Conduction Mode

Abstract
To improve dynamic and static performance of converter output it is necessary to design a controller with preferable performance. The principle of phase-shift pulse width modulation (PWM) for the converter is analyzed; the static state operating point under continuous conduction mode (CCM) is solved and all operating modes within a switching period are given. Based on state space averaging method a small signal model of converter under continuous conduction mode is established, and according to the small signal model a double closed-loop proportion integration (PI) controller with feedforward compensation is designed. Results of experimental investigation show that by the action of the designed controller the maximum output voltage dip during suddenly loading is less than 15% and it recovers within 150ms, therefore the designed controller possesses good output characteristic and the effectiveness of the controller is verified.关键词
