Abstract
A mathematical model of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) suitable to small signal stability analysis is deduced and the DFIG model in PSD-BPA is researched. An IEEE 30-bus system containing DFIG is constructed in PSD-BPA, and by use of eigenvalue analysis the impacts of grid-connected DFIG on damping characteristics of power system under different wind power penetration rates are researched in detail. Both results from simulation and theoretical analysis show that after the grid-connection of DFIG the damping characteristics of power system can be improved some extent, however the damping characteristics will be weakened under higher wind power penetration rate.关键词
