Abstract

Large-scale integration of distributed generation (DG) makes distribution network becoming active network, and due to the feature of output randomness of wind farm and photovoltaic (PV) generation traditional distribution network reconfiguration methods are not suitable for distribution network containing DG. Considering the randomness of natural resources and power load, according to probability density function the multi-state models for uncontrollable DG and load are established respectively, and then the multi-state model of distribution network is achieved. Taking switch states as optimization variable, the minimum network loss higher than confidence level as objective function and out-of-limit probability of nodal voltage and branch power, which meets the requirement of confidence level, as constraints, a chance-constrained programming based reconfiguration model for distribution network containing multi DGs is built. The structure of the distribution network is searched by the strategy of spanning tree, and the built model is solved by the improved ant colony algorithm. The validity of the proposed method and model for distribution network reconfiguration containing DGs is verified by simulation results of IEEE 33-bus system connecting with wind power generators.
