Abstract

ABSTRACT:With rapid increasing of the installed capacity of wind power generation units and grid-connection of large-scale wind farms, the fluctuation of large-scale wind power generation and hierarchical features of the tie line of wind farms bring difficulties to real-time scheduling of power grids and the waste of the wind energy resource may occur, for this reason an active power control method based on the hierarchical tie line of large-scale wind farm is proposed. Since the power generation of wind farm is restricted to the constraints of tie lines belonging to different hierarchies, by means of allocating wind farm power regulation among wind farms in the wide area, depth-first searching out-of-limit tie lines and transferring power generation capability, the full and fair utilization of the power of wind farms under the premise of ensuring the security of tie lines is realized. Results of case study and power grid operation show that the proposed method is reasonable and feasible, and is available for reference to the active power control of hierarchical tie lines of large-scale wind farms.
