Abstract

To investigate variation status of muscovy duck parvovirus gene,the VP3 gene was cloned by PCR,which we named as AH-MDPV-VP3.And we compared AH-MDPV-VP3 with the sequence of nine VP3 genes of muscovy duck,goose and duck parvovirus in the GenBank database.By alignment of the ten gene sequences,the higher homologies between AH-MDPV-VP3 and the KC171936 and KM093740 se-quences of muscovy duck parvovirus isolated in China were found,100% and 98.3% repectively,indcating a close genetic relationship with a common ancestor of evolution.And the homologies with goose parvovir-us were lower,particularly,the AY382891 and AY382892 sequences of duck parvovirus isolated in Taiwan were 91.6% and 90.8%,the genetic distances also were farther.Moreover the VP3 gene of muscovy duck,goose and duck parvovirus were relatively conservative with several amino acid mutations.The mo-lecular characteristics of muscovy duck parvovirus VP3 gene were preliminarily obtained.And this study laid the foundation of immune diagnosis and prevention and control of muscovy duck parvovirus.
