Research Development on Mechanism of Fly Ash-based Geopolymer and Effect of Each Component

Abstract
Geopolymer is a kind of inorganic polymer cementitious materials, which has a 3D network of silico-aluminate structures. Geopolymer can be synthesized from calcined clays, industrial waste or other alumino-silicate containing source materials under strongly alkaline conditions. Compared with organic polymers, cements, ceramics and metals, geopolymer has superior performances. Recently, geopolymer has become a research focus in the green cementitious materials field. Current status of the researches on the reaction mechanism of fly ash-based geopolymer are reviewed. The Glukhovsky model, the descriptive model, the nanostructural model and the volumetric model are introduced, and emphasis is placed on the effect of alkali, aluminum, silica, calcium and water on geopolymerization.关键词
