城市规模与中国工业企业生产效率
Urban Scale and Production Efficiency of Chinese Industrial Enterprises

Abstract
This paper studys the impact of city scale on the production efficiency of Chinese industrial enterprises with Chinese indus-trial enterprise database.Our study finds that there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between firm size and production efficiency of the city,as with maximizing firm's productivity,there exists an optimal city size.Corresponding to different industries,the optimal city size each are not identical.It is estimated that the optimal size of the city is about 150-260 million.In China,only 40 cities are in the range of optimal size,there are 30 cities exceeded the optimal size of the city,and 211 cities below the optimal size of the city.关键词
