摘要

Abstract

The madman, the goddess and the oppidan is a unique mode of Jia Pingwa’ s local novels. The goddess of the local beauty and traditional culture, gives a choice between the madman which represents the irrational, ugly side of the country and the op-pidan of "city of agricultural origin", which is also the conscious choice of the intellectuals represented by Jia Pingwa when faced the value choice of urban and rural areas on own initiative:leave the country and enter the city. The direct consequence of the choice is no root and lost, which is not only the tragedy of this generation intellectuals, but also it is the tragedy of native and the culture them-selves.
