摘要

Abstract

Aim:To observe the effects of hyperlipidemia on matrix metalloproteinase-2 ( MMP-2 ) expression and the new vessels in brain tissue of rats .Methods:Experimental rats were divided into normal control group and hyperlipidemia group with 10 rats in each group .The concentration of VEGF in serum of the two groups was determined by ELISA .The ex-pressions of MMP-2, intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1), CD34, and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in rat brain tissue were detected by immunohistochemistry .The pathological change in cortex of rats was observed after HE staining.Results:The contents of TC, TG,LDL-C and VEGF in serum of hyperlipidemia group were higher than those of normal control group(t=12.772, 25.705, 38.141, 15.879,P<0.001), while HDL-C was lower (t =35.959,P<0.001).The expressions of MMP-2, ICAM-1, CD34 and VEGF in brain tissue of hyperlipidemia group were higher than those of normal control group (t=25.546, 12.954, 8.685, 11.996,P<0.001).Conclusion:Hyperlipidemia could in-duce the expression of MMP-2 and generate more new blood vessels in brain .
