Abstract
Objective: To study the inhibitory effects of Lycium Barbarum Polysaccharide (LBP) in hepatoma-xenograft mice. Methods: 48 mice were randomly divided into the LBP high-dose group (20 mg/kg), middle dose group (10 mg/kg), low-dose group (5 mg/kg), cyclophosphamide group (20 mg/kg), control group and model group, to study the effect on mortality in hepatoma-xenograft mice, tumor volume, and tumor necrosis by LBP. Results: Compared with the model group, TNF-α secre-tion in the LBP different dose groups were significantly increased (P<0.05), and tumor volume in the LBP different dose groups was significantly reduced (P<0.05); Tumor volume in cyclophosphamide group has also significantly reduced; the differ-ence on inhibition of tumor growth between the LBP high dose group and cyclophosphamide group was not statistically signifi-cant (P>0.05). Conclusion: LBP can enhance immune function, inhibit tumor cells and has a significant inhibitory effect on hepatoma-xenograft mice.关键词
