摘要

Abstract

In order to study the effects of valve opening ,pressure loss coefficient and operating depth on the frictional load ,the dynamic frictional load model was investigated using both theoretical and empirical method .In this paper ,a subsea gate valve w as tested .Results have show n that the valve o-pening is the key control parameter for minor loss coefficient and frictional load .At low valve open-ing ,increasing valve opening will decrease the frictional load .With further increase ,the frictional load tends to zero .The methodology performs better than the traditional method .It can be used to model the dynamic frictional load based on the complex valve movements and can be potentially applied in practice .
