摘要

Abstract

Based on the Rayleigh-Plesset equation and equilibrium assumption ,a new cavitation model considering the non-linear variation of bubble radius was proposed to enhance the capability of predic-ting cavitating flows for Schnerr-Sauer model .Unsteady and turbulent cavitating flows around a two-dimensional Clark-Y hydrofoil were performed using the proposed model and original Schnerr-Sauer model ,respectively ,combined with the FBM turbulence model .The time-averaged lift and drag coef-ficients ,cavity shape evolution and x-velocity profiles at cloud cavitation were obtained from predic-tion .Comparing with other experimental data ,the time-averaged lift and drag coefficients predicted from proposed model agree better with experimental results than the original Schnerr-Sauer model and the proposed model can accurately predict the special characteristics of the time-averaged lift and drag coefficients during different cavitation numbers .Additionally ,the proposed model is more capable to predict the grow th ,shedding and collapse of the cloud cavity near the trailing edge and the flow struc-ture in the wake of cloud cavitation stage .
