Abstract
The influence of virtual local area network (VLAN) on real-time performance and security of digital substation is researched firstly, then the configuration method of VLAN is further researched. According to the different properties of the equipments of the communication network in digital substations, there are 11 categories of VLAN in the whole digital substation in which the devices and their functions are mainly introduced. At the same time, the D2-1 type digital substation star communication network is taken for example to be modeled and simulated based on OPNET Modeler to study the influence of VLAN on substation. The simulation results indicate that the broadcast information overflow can be suppressed by dividing VLAN, and the switch's load and the time delay can be reduced, which meets the strict request of real-time performance according to IEC 61850 standard and enhances the security of substation.关键词
