Research on monitoring system of thermal defects based on multi-source information fusion

Abstract
To solve the problem that merely using infrared thermal imager cannot inspect the blind area of the substations, a new method that uses infrared thermal imager together with CCD (Charge Coupled Device) camera and wireless sensor networks to implement the real-time and online detection of thermal defects for high-voltage equipment is proposed. The energy harvesting technique is employed to obtain solar energy, which achieves the independent power supply of sensor nodes. In order to reduce the amount of computation, the step by step filtering fusion algorithm based on asynchronous sampling data is used to rapidly calibrate the thermal faults location. The communication mode of the monitoring system adopts C/S (Client/Server) model based on TCP/IP protocols. The reliable data transmission is achieved by using connection-oriented stream sockets. The video capture and image processing function library of OpenCV are utilized to realize the real-time and online analysis of thermal defects for high-voltage equipment.关键词
