摘要

Abstract

In order to accurately study the mutual influence between a wind farm and a grid, in PSS/E the Low Voltage Ride-Through (LVRT) simulation has become indispensable. Because the wind generator models in PSS/E do not include the LVRT module, the user defined model is needed. And the realization method is explained. Namely, users need to input the threshold value for terminal voltage of wind generators as a signal for operation of LVRT module, and the other parameters defining the shape of LVRT curve. Then by recording the simulation time, the cut-out moment of wind generators can be determined if terminal voltage curve is outside the LVRT curve. Then the detailed models of Fixed Speed Induction Generator (FSIG) and Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) are presented. Based on the analysis of different fault duration time on typical terminal voltages of the above two types of wind generators, the effectiveness of the user defined LVRT module is verified, which is of great significance in engineering.
