ANALYSIS OF POLAR SCIENCE RESEARCH SUPPORTED BY THE NATIONAL NATURAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION OF CHINA FROM 1998 TO 2014

Abstract
An analysis of polar science research supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China from 1998 to 2014 was carried out to determine the number of projects per year , the types of projects , the scientific disci-plines , and affiliations of the researchers .The analysis shows that polar science research projects and funding have increased year by year .Polar science research projects were mostly conducted by researchers from research institu-tes affiliated with the NSFC departments of Earth Sciences , Life Sciences , and Mathematical Sciences .Most were general projects and youth science foundation projects .关键词
